Last night at about 1:30 in the morning I was working at my desk when I heard an unmistakable sound: the crazed whine and surge of a big ol’ nasty roots blower. I went outside but it was gone before I could see what it was. Around 2:30 it came loping back, nasty and wicked as ever. My neighbor must have thought I was crazy flagging him down in the street at 2:30. In all honesty, I wondered about his sanity cruising in this car at 2:30 in the morning.
To make a long story short, completely unbeknownst to me, this wicked Mustang has been slumbering in a steel shop a mere 75 yards from my front door. I chatted with the owner for a bit and he told me he bought it built back east a couple of years ago. I asked him if he’d bring it by today so that I could snap a few quick pics. I hope to have a full feature on it very soon, but in the meantime, enjoy!
Toby,
What a great inspiration to find such a nice piece only a stones throw away. No doubt you’ve made a new friend and comrade in arms for your new endeavor. Saw the pics you already posted and the car looks pretty nice. Can’t wait to see the finished product all Tubbed out and ready to rock. I admire your tenacity and where you’re headed with all of this.
That foxbody is in OUR neighborhood? Does it belong to the guy with the R8?
